Building vocabulary and sentence structure is another important pre-literacy skill. Nursery rhymes and other rhyming songs are a great way to practice those skills and an easy activity to do on the go. You likely have heard such favorites as â€Å"Down by the Bay† and â€Å"Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.† Kids love rhyming and songs! Download a few classics to listen to while running errands, or start a family sing-along in the car. Another great option is poetry memorization with IEW’s Linguistic Development through Poetry Memorization course. Listening to and memorizing poetry helps produce a strong and powerful language database! Here are some other short and simple, yet powerful ideas for building language in your students. Name Game: While you are out running errands, playing at the park, or driving on a cross-country road trip, ask â€Å"What is this?† or â€Å"Where is he/she going?† Everyday Words: As you are folding laundry or making dinner, dialogue out loud about the steps of the process. Show your children the ingredients for dinner, for example, and point them out on the recipe as you cook together. Rhyming Riddles: Make up riddles and guessing games, using words that rhyme or words that start with the same sounds. For example, â€Å"What kind of cake would a snake make? He might make a lake cake.† The rhymes can be silly and fun and will get the child thinking about words and listening for rhymes. Letter Search: Point out words on signs and in stores. Begin a search for the letter that begins the names of those your student would know. Read the stop signs and the other traffic signs aloud when you are out driving. Find letters on products, on signs, and on television. Match the letters with first or last names. Play â€Å"Letter of the Day,† in which you decide on a letter and go on a hunt for it. Word Maker: Make magnetic letters available and play with them on a surface such as the refrigerator. Spell simple words and have your child repeat them. As the breezy spring days move past into the warm days of summer, let me encourage you with this. Building literacy and reading skills does not always have to be a structured, everyday, expensive curriculum-based type of approach. With some intentionality and the foundation of a love for learning and language as your goal, enjoy this time! How to Apply for Federal Student Aid Using the FASFA

You want to go to college so you can make a lot of money but you dont have a lot of money, so you cant go to college. Congratulations! You have just met the main requirements for getting federal student aid. The U.S. Department of Education provides more than $67 billion in loans, grants and campus-based aid every year to assist millions of students and their families pay for postsecondary education. This feature presents an overview of the types of federal student financial aid available, eligibility requirements and the application process. Federal Student Loan Programs The governments Stafford Loan program offers both subsidized and unsubsidized student loans.   Subsidized loans require proof of financial need. All interest on subsidized loans is paid by the government while the student is actually enrolled at least half-time and during certain periods, such as  deferment and forbearance. Unsubsidized loans are available regardless of financial need. The student must pay all interest on unsubsidized loans. The Direct PLUS program offers unsubsidized loans to parents of dependent students. The parents must pay all interest on Direct PLUS loans. Amounts that can be borrowed, repayment options and interest rates vary greatly and can be modified during the term of the loan. Federal funds for these programs are given to the schools and distributed to students at the schools discretion. Amounts students can receive depends on individual financial need, amounts of other aid the student receives and the total availability of funds at the school. Basic Eligibility Requirements for Student Aid Eligibility for federal student aid is determined on the basis of financial need and on several other factors. The financial aid administrator at the college or career school you plan to attend will determine your eligibility. Basically, to receive aid from federal programs, you must: qualify for financial need (except for certain loans); have a high school diploma or a General Education Development (GED) certificate, or pass a test approved by the U.S. Department of Education; be working toward a degree or certificate; be enrolled in an eligible program; be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen; have a valid Social Security Number; register with the Selective Service if required; and maintain satisfactory academic progress once in school. Under federal law, persons who have been convicted under federal or state law of the sale or possession of drugs are not eligible for federal student aid. Seafaring people from the lowland region of the Orinoco River of South America migrated into and established settlements in the Lesser Antilles, Puerto Rico, and Hispaniola. They developed rich and vibrant ritual and artistic traditions that are revealed in Taino craftsmanship in using bone, shell, stone wood and other media. Social stratification is thought to have become more pronounced and rigid during this period as well. This stage of intensification and elaboration after AD 1100 is known as â€Å"Taino†. The Taino people, as characterized by archaeologists, were not a unified society, and have been categorized into subdivisions according to the degree of elaboration in their artistic and social expression. Competitive advantage of national resources: National resources of a country attracts investor more for investing their amount in the country as investor finds that investing in that country is a nice platform for increasing their money. FDI investigates country detail and about their resources before investing in that country, and according to that investigation only, they make investments. If investor finds that there is no labour, investor is definitely not going to invest in that country. India is a very rich company in context of resources as there are coal, iron pre, manganese ore, mica bauxite, diamonds, natural gas, thorium and limestone are in huge. This theory combines the firm and country level theory together for focusing on individual firm. Factor Endowment: factor endowment of a country is commonly land, capital, labour, entrepreneurship etc that a country can possesses and exploit for manufacturing. In construction development sector, there were conditions related to land, capital etc which used to demotivate investors. In defence sector, FDI were allowed till 29% only. After making this simple request, the master (at the orphanage) aimed a blow at Oliver's head with the ladle; pinioned him in his arms; and shrieked aloud for the beadle.3 The whole beginning of Oliver Twist's story was created from memories which related to Charles Dickens' childhood in a blacking factory (which was overshadowed by the Marshalsea Prison).4 While working in the blacking factory, Dickens suffered tremendous humiliation. Throughout his lifetime, Dickens appeared to have acquired a fondness for the bleak, the sordid, and the austere.5 Most of Oliver Twist, for example, takes place in London's lowest slums.6 The city is described as a maze which involves a mystery of darkness, anonymity, and peril.7 Many of the settings, such as the pickpocket's hideout, the surrounding streets, and the bars, are also described as dark, gloomy, and bland.8 Meanwhile, in Great Expectations, Miss Havisham's house is often made to sound depressing, old, and lonely. Many of the objects within the house had not been touched or moved in many years. Cobwebs were clearly visible as well as an abundance of dust, and even the wedding dress, which Miss Havisham constantly wore, had turned yellow with age.9 However, similarities are not just found in the settings. The novels' two main characters, Pip and Oliver, are also similar in many ways. Both young boys were orphaned practically from birth; but where Pip is sent to live with and be abused by his sister, Oliver is sent to live in an orphanage. Pip is a very curious young boy. He is a child of intense and yearning fancy.10 Yet, Oliver is well spoken. Even while his life was in danger while in the hands of Fagin and Bill Sikes, two conniving pickpockets, he refused to participate in the stealing which he so greatly opposed. All Oliver really longed for was to escape from harsh living conditions and evil surroundings which he had grown up in.11 However, no matter how tempting the evil may have been, Oliver stood by his beliefs. Therefore, he can be referred to as ideal and incorruptible innocence.12 It is Oliver's self-generated and self-sustained love, conferred it would seem from Heaven alone, that preserves him from disaster and death.13 Unfortunately, many critics have found it hard to believe that a boy such as Oliver Twist could remain so innocent, pure, and well spoken given the long period of time in which he was surrounded by evil and injustices.14 Pip, on the other hand, is a dreamer. His imagination is always helping him to create situations to cover up for his hard times. For example, when questioned about his first visit to Miss Havisham's house, he made up along elaborate story to make up for the terrible time he had in reality. I have studied for five years in Japan about aviation maintenance at my high school and my college which have aeronautical engineering departments. Needless to say, I am majoring in the aviation maintenance technology. Aircraft are eminently related to physics. I therefore chose this book,  gAirframe h. I think that a person who is interested in aviation would feel interested in this book. I have already studied about some flight dynamics in Japan. I am therefore going to write about lift and a stall, wing curvature, axis of an airplane in flight, and my doubt in the book. The book gives an example of an airplane bound from Hong Kong to Dallas, TPA 545, which stalled on its way to Dallas. The circumstance was that the plane suddenly descended and went up, then it stalled and went down again. However, the pilots of the plane recovered the airplane fs balance and altitude, and the airplane made an emergency landing at Los Angeles airport. I am going to write about the reason why airplanes can fly before I write about a stall, because it is easy to understand a stall when the physics of flight are understood. Airplanes can fly by making use of lift. Air usually flows are both the upper and lower wing fs surfaces. There are differences in airspeed and air pressure between air flowing over the upper side and air flowing under the lower side of a wing. The air flowing over the upper side is faster than the opposite sides air, and the air pressure on upper side is lower than the opposite air pressure. The power to lift up, which is called lif t, therefore acts on the wing, and the phenomenon is known as Bernoulli fs principle. These are the reasons why airplanes can fly.
